Pub Accommodation In Stratford upon Avon

Stratford upon Avon is a very well known tourist destination both for visitors from UK and respectively from all over the world. As you would expect the town has its Hotels all accommodating for the budget minded to the visitor who may want to spend a little more but Stratford has also other means of accommodation as in the form of Pubs which are dotted all around the town providing comfortable Bed and Breakfast accommodation set in the familiar surroundings of great British pubs serving delicious freshly made meals and ales and drinks to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing as possible when visiting or staying in Stratford upon Avon or the surrounding area.
The Pubs and Inns range from 14th century built Cotswolds Inns to 16th century taverns and all are located within easy reach of Stratford upon Avon and its town centre with its famous attractions some are further afield and are situated in the beautiful Cotswolds. So what sort of Pub accommodation can you expect to stay in and relax when visiting the area?
The Stag at Redhill :
This is a Historic inn where you can eat in and respectively rest your weary head after all the busy sightseeing. The Stag has ten single and double rooms available which all have en-suite facilities offering comfortable and affordable accommodation without the hustle and bustle of a larger hotel. Some of the rooms come complete with king size four poster beds and all have lovely bathrooms and come fully equipped with tea and coffee making facilities and televisions.
The inn even boasts a conference room which is ideal for parties known as the Court Room where you can entertain guests or hold meetings and enjoy a buffet style lunch or if you wish to have something a bit more filling then why not try some of the great meals from the menu which are all produced and cooked fresh in house by the proud chef.
Ample parking is available at the Stag at Redhill which is located just off the A46 Alcester Road Redhill.
The Bell Alderminster :
This is an award (Publican food and drinks award 2010) winning 18th century traditional country pub which offers bed and breakfast accommodation and a restaurant. Though the inn was recently refurbished it’s still steeped in history and the inn has retained many of its original features like the low beams the flagged stone floors and open fires. The accommodation is in the form of four individually styled rooms known as the boutique rooms and all have private bathrooms. The rooms have individual names such as the Alscot Suite, Covent Garden and the Eaton Hall and Kilfinichen the rooms are all furnished with king size beds flat screen TVs and internet access and respectively tea and coffee making facilities.
Depending on your particular budget prices for the rooms start at £75 for a single occupancy to £145 for double occupancy per night plus as with any B&B breakfast is included in the price of your stay. The Restaurant at the Bell also caters for all tastes from sumptuous meals to light lunches and romantic dinners the Bell is located in the picturesque village of Alderminster which is just 4 miles from Stratford upon Avon.
The College Arms:
The College Arms is located on the edge of the spectacular Cotswolds in the quaint village of Lower Quinton and is a 16th century charming pub with accommodation and a restaurant. Once again the inn is steeped in history as the inn was once owned by King Henry VIII himself as far as the accommodation goes it has four very comfortable and relaxing rooms for you to stay in all come with double beds and en-suite as well as colour TVs and coffee and tea making facilities and even internet access but you will have to watch your head since the ceilings are pretty low as the interior is the original from the 16th century when people were not as tall as they are now!.
Once you are done resting you may want to go to the bar and have some drinks with its excellent selection of beers and ales or try out the restaurant with its fresh fish menus and other popular local fresh produce. The College Arms are located about 15 minutes south of Stratford upon Avon off the B4632 in the small village of Lower Quinton.
The Blue Boar Inn
The Blue Boar Inn is a typical old English country pub which dates back to the 16th century which was originally just an ale house proof of this is the glass covered well which is located in the restaurant which is some 35ft deep it was the water from this well which was used in the brewing process back in the 16th century but now it has become home to a school of goldfish!. The rooms at the Blue Boar Inn all come with en-suite and have television and radio and internet access and tea and coffee making facilities you can expect to pay £60 for a single occupancy to £85 for a family room per night the price respectively includes a full English breakfast.
The Bar at the inn with its open fire and original flagstones makes a relaxing place to be at the end of long day spent shopping or sightseeing in the area and try out the traditional cask ales on offer.
The restaurant boats some traditional favourites and local game from the area can be expected on the menu but expect a different menu each day as the chef at the Blue Boar Inn likes to provide its visitors with the best in English Country food which is influenced by the seasons.
The Blue Boar Inn is located in the heart of rural Warwickshire at Temple Grafton which is only 4 miles from Stratford upon Avon and is easily accessed from the M40 and M5 and M42 motorways.
This is just a selection of Pub accommodation which is available when visiting Stratford upon Avon or the Warwickshire area and makes a excellent alternative to the regular Hotel stay.
